About
The 6th Annual Symposium on Parental Alienation, hosted by Children 4 Tomorrow, brought together parents, mental health professionals, legal experts, advocates, and survivors for a day of powerful learning, reflection, and connection. With the theme “Expanding Perspectives,” this year’s symposium illuminated the multifaceted impact of parental alienation—from the courtroom to the clinic, from policy reform to personal healing. Through candid storytelling, research-informed strategies, and interdisciplinary dialogue, presenters challenged assumptions, offered solutions, and uplifted voices too often left unheard. Featured sessions included judicial insights from Judges Emily Fisher and John Schmude, clinical perspectives from experts like Dr. James Huysman, Lisa Rothfus, and Lauren Williams, and deeply personal accounts from survivors and parents, including Robert Garza, Dawn McCarty, Kim Hillin, and Jennifer Szeghi. Bill Eddy’s keynote provided a practical and accessible lens for understanding high-conflict personalities and navigating family law with compassion and clarity. Together, we explored how legal, psychological, and social systems can evolve to better serve children and families caught in the devastating grip of alienation. We honored the resilience of those affected and reaffirmed our shared commitment to protecting the parent-child bond. Whether you're a professional, a parent, or an ally—this symposium offers a space not only to learn, but to belong.
